MusicLand Express began in October 2003 when I decided I wanted a new challenge after spending the past three years in retirement. Before retiring I owned a successful floor covering business. The idea of building another business intrigued me, but the question was: what type of business did I want to start? Since I'm 60, I wanted a business in which I had the option of keeping small and running myself or expanding into something larger, as well as one which could take advantage of the large number of tourists who visit this area. Forty years ago, during college, I played guitar in several bands. Since music was something I knew, I looked at the possibility of opening up a music store and finally decided on a discount music store catering to both the local and tourist trade.
The basic premise is to offer you the lowest prices on the products we sell in a well displayed store with personalized service, then carry this premise over to our internet site if you prefer to shop online.
Instead of offering you only a few selected items from many product lines, we chose to have less lines but carry all the products available in each line. As our business grows, we plan to add even more product lines to our inventory.
Unlike many catalog and internet sites, we have a physical showroom location in the mountain of Western North Carolina. For this reason we encourage you to stop in and try out our instruments before they buy. We also occassionally run in-store specials and carry smaller accessories not available online.
Whether you buy from our showroom or order online, we guarantee customer satisfaction. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us! |
